Eating for two
I’ve been pretty absent for the last week since finding out I’m pregnant, and boy, has it shown in my eating. I’ve been allowing myself to eat pretty much anything, which is not so good, and I know it. Okay, I haven’t been totally horrible, I’m still eating more fruits and veggies than I ever have. I have been allowing the sweets to creep back in though. Still not as bad as it used to be, but I’m definitely endulging more than I should be. I thought it was about time I got back over here and kept myself accountable for what I’m doing. I don’t want to use this pregnancy as a license to pack on the pounds eating a whole bunch of crap. I also told my husband he doesn’t need to bring me a treat every day (he’s been buying me some sort of chocolate or sweet every time he goes to a store). Anyway, I just wanted to write it down and get myself back on track, at least with the eating part. I’ve been a little lax on the exercise too, though that’s mostly because I’m exhausted and have an awful head cold on top of that. I’m going to get back on the exercise as soon as I can breathe again, I miss that so much! I hope to do some catching up with my buddies in the next few days, but I’m out of time for tonight. Hope you all have a great night!
Hang in there Allison! Take care of you and baby. Now, I have no other advice for you because I suck at anything that has to do with babies, pregnancies and stuff like that.

It’s important to keep healthy when pregnant - I dont think you should continue to diet - in the sense of loosing weight - but try and maintain the weight you are now. It’s tough, but can be done - dont use your pregnancy as an exuse to slip!
GET YE HAND OUTTA THE SWEET JAR…
Good luck - you can do it!!!

Yeah, I don’t want to diet, just eat healthy like I had been. Thanks for slapping my hand away!
I was just wondering how far along you are??!!
Only like 4 or 5 weeks, not far at all!!! Seems my little ones just like to make their presence known very early.
So how much did they say to gain? Can you exercise?
I was so lucky in the weight department with my pregnancies… I wish I could be like that ALL the time!
Congrats again… and good to see you back!
You can do it, just focus on being healthy for you and the baby!
Again, congrats on the pregnancy! I would try to stay around 2,000-2,500 cal daily..take your prenatal vit, and easy exercises when you are over your cold. Of course, talk to your doctor for approval first. I know for me pregnancy was a license to eat whatever…and I did overindulge!
Weight has been a battle ever since..it kind of set the stage. Good luck!

When I got pregnant with my third child, I weighed 200 lbs and I remember freaking out because I had been dieting trying to get down to my goal weight and my son came as a complete surprise. Well, I was able to gain no more than 20 pounds the entire pregnancy as I kept active and walked a lot. I didn’t really splurge too much with junk food, but I did have a craving for Snickers haha. You’ll be ok, and the most important thing is just to take care of both of you. You can’t really diet now so just make healthy choices and you will be victorious.
oh my god your pregnant!!! congratulations, allison!!!
